Bode James Wolfe, 3-1/2 months, son of Gretchen and Matthew Coate of Osawatomie, died Aug. 26, 2010. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ryan Mortuary. Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Salina, followed by burial in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina. Memorials may be made to the Bode James Wolfe Memorial Fund. |

Velma Coate, 79, Paola, died Aug. 28, 2010. Survivors include two daughters, Pam Ewan of Paola and Donetta Saville of Olathe. Maxine L. Wood, 84, Louisburg, died Aug. 23, 2010, at Louisburg Care Center after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was born April 9, 1926, at Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Pierce Roy and Hattie M. Bryan.
She was united in marriage to Earl Wood on June 6, 1945, in Kansas City, Kan.

1923-2010
Harley Emerson Keeton, 87, a lifetime resident of Paola, died Aug. 20, 2010, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Leavenworth.
He was widely known in the community as an advocate for veterans, senior citizens and Freemasonry. He was diagnosed with cancer several years ago, and he donated his body to medical research.
He was born May 16, 1923, on a family farm northeast of Paola to Charley and Ada Weaver Keeton.
