Spring Hill’s elementary schools are preparing for Kindergarten Round-Ups. The annual events give incoming students a chance to experience what kindergarten is about. While the students are learning about kindergarten, parents will be attending an orientation session. The round-ups are for children who will be 5 years old by Aug. 31. Spring Hill Elementary School will put on its round-up April 1. The morning session is scheduled for 9 to 10:30 a.m. and in the afternoon from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The school is at 300 S. Webster St. For more information or to register, call (913) 592-7277. After registration is complete, more information will be sent via mail. Prairie Creek Elementary School will have its round-up from 8:30 to 11 a.m. April 2 at 17077 W. 165th St. Parents are being asked to register for the event by March 26. Call the school at (913) 592-7255. A certified copy of the student’s birth certificate, Social Security card and record of immunizations should be provided by parents.
