A Paola High School senior was arrested on drug charges Feb. 19 following a four-month investigation by the Paola Police Department. Colten J. Stallbaumer, 18, of Paola was charged with seven felonies, including four counts of selling marijuana and three counts of arranging a drug deal using a telephone, according to a news release from the Paola Police Department. He was booked into the Miami County Jail and is being held on $100,000 bond. Stallbaumer was arrested by the police department’s tactical unit at 3:45 p.m. Feb. 19 in the 500 block of N. Silver St. Deputy Police Chief Don Poore said Stallbaumer was taken into custody without problems, but the tactical unit was used because he was stopped in a vehicle. An investigation continues into other individuals who are suspected to be linked to the sale, and/or possession, of marijuana or other illegal drugs, according to the release.
