Paola’s first “Art Crawl” presented by the Gas Light Art Gallery and Studio and D’Marie Gallery of Fine Art will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday.

The Gas Light will continue its “Visual Expressions” show, while D’Marie will present its “Color Convergence” pieces. Invitation artwork will be on display by Peter Brunke and Robert Quackenbush.

Amanda Martin, owner of the Gas Light studio, said the purpose of the event is to develop Paola as an art community, which Doris Karney, owner of D’Marie, agreed with.
The two also hope to have art crawls several times a year, depending on the response to the first one.

“We are hoping that there will be an increased interest and awareness in the arts,” Martin said. “As well as an interest in artists that we represent both locally and regionally.”
The event is open to the community, and guests and visitors are invited to attend at their leisure.

D’Marie’s is located at 5 W. Wea St., and the Gas Light is located at 12 E. Peoria St., above the Miami County Swan River Museum.
