Bill and Charlotte Manly of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Osawatomie, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary Tuesday.

They were married in 1949 at the home of her parents in Osawatomie.

Mrs. Manly is the daughter of the late Vern and Lola Bussell. Her husband is the son of the late Ralza and Irene Manly, all of Osawatomie.

Charlotte, who was also a homemaker and Well-Baby Clinic volunteer, is retired from J.C. Penney.

Bill, a former State Line Airpark flying instructor, is a retired 32-year veteran pilot from Braniff International Airways.

The Manlys have two daughters, Konnee Atwell, and her husband, Don, of Kansas City, Mo., and Laurie Brooks, and her husband, Jeff, of Blue Springs, Mo.

They have four grandchildren, Kristin, Jarrod, Benjamin and Melody, and four great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Dylan, Shawn and Elizabeth, with an additional great-grandchild due this summer.

Their family would like to honor and surprise them by having family and friends celebrate with a card shower for this special milestone occasion. Notes or cards of congratulations can be sent to them, in care of Konnee Atwell, 8700 N.W. River Park Drive, PMB 1125, Parkville, MO 64152-3795.

All well-wishes will be very much appreciated and enjoyed by them.
