Muriel C. Hampton, 92, La Cygne, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Survivors include her husband, Olen Hampton of the home; a son, Jerry Hampton of La Cygne; three daughters, Kay Coffin and Connie Eaton, both of La Cygne, and Vickie Eaton of Coal City, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. Services were Tuesday at the church, followed by burial in the Cadmus Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church in care of Coffel-Schneider Funeral Home, P.O. Box 304, La Cygne, KS 66064.
