Ralph Wayne Brake, 64, rural Osawatomie, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at his home. Survivors include his wife and best friend of 47 years, June Brake, of the home; four children, Denny Brake of Fontana, Doug Brake of Mound City, Dena Brake of Topeka, and Darren Brake of Centerville; two sisters, Darlene Phillips of Kansas City, Kan., and Pat Edmonson of Kansas City, Mo.; one brother, Paul Brake of Kansas City, Kan.; and seven grandchildren. The family received friends Tuesday night at Eddy-Birchard Funeral Home in Osawatomie.
